Nelson Mandela said, ‘Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world.’
Through the powerful medium of education, I work with teachers and lecturers to maximise the message of determination and reslience. My talks are suited to students within primary schools (Key Stage 2 & 3), secondary schools (Key Stage 4), Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE). All my talks and workshops are individually tailored to meet specific outcomes and fit in with various aspects of the curriculum including PSHE, Global Citizenship, Politics, History, Human Rights, Justice, Equality, Rights, Respect and Responsibility (RRR) and Black History Month.
The key outcome is to encourage students to make positive choices which in turn will make a positive impact in our world.
I make use of ‘story telling’ whilst incorporating audio-visual materials into my presentation. Although the focus of my talks are my own personal story, the sessions are very interactive with opportunities for student participation. Students are inspired to believe that successful achievement is possible regardless of race or gender or disability. Students are also challenged to become proactive global citizens who challenge discriminatory behavior. I have current UK Government Diclosure and Barring Service Clearance (DBS) and have worked extensively in schools Colleges and Universities throughout the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Canada.
